Dealers
There are several different options available to you for reusing, selling and licensing products from the Canadian Hydrographic Service. CHS has a large network of dealers who sell paper and digital charts around the world. Many of our dealers sell directly to end users while our super-dealers manage networks of dealers.
Dealer Web Site

Digital Dealers
Sell CHS digital charts
Many digital dealers have entered into license agreements with CHS to sell CHS digital products, including Electronic Navigational Charts (ENCs) sold individually or on pre-packageds CDs, as well as raster charts (BSB format) sold on pre-packaged CDs.
CHS provides a suggested retail price (SRP) for its digital products. Royalties are then charged to the dealers as a percentage of the SRP. The digital dealer then sublicenses the products to end users.
Digital dealers are free to set their own prices. A digital dealer may also offer an ENC updating service, or customers may acquire their updates from CHS directly. A dealer may also distribute System ENCs ("SENCs"). A digital dealer is not permitted to change the products, except as noted above. Digital dealers may bundle CHS digital products with other products.

Digital Super-Dealers
Manage your own network of dealers
A super-dealer is an umbrella organization, such as a business or corporate entity, which has its own dealer network. A super-dealer enters into a super-dealer license agreement with CHS, under which the super-dealer acquires products from CHS for distribution to its own network of dealers.
A super-dealer is not permitted to compete with its own dealers by becoming a dealer itself. A super-dealer is not permitted to alter CHS products.

Paper Dealers and Super-Dealers
CHS offers two types of dealerships for its paper products: paper dealers and paper super-dealers. Paper dealers sell products to end users through retail operations while super-dealers sell products at wholesale prices to their own network of dealers. A company may not act as both a dealer and a super-dealer.
